We may finally see a notch-less iPhone that still retains Face ID in the near future as Apple was recently successful in its patent application for an under-display TrueDepth camera. Granted by the United States Patent and Trademark Office on 5 April 2022, the patent is of an ‘Electronic device including a camera disposed behind a display’.
A further dive into the official patent application document shows that Apple has actually been planning this feature for a long time. In fact, the patent application for the under-display TrueDepth camera was actually made on 24 September 2019.

Apple is potentially planning to release a new variation of its iPhone power adapter soon which is 35W and comes with dual USB-C ports. Currently, the tech giant only has a 20W adapter with a single USB-C port available for the iPhone.
The accessory was first spotted by 9to5Mac in a support document published on Apple’s website. However, it has since been removed from the site, potentially due to it being uploaded by mistake.

Apple has released the iOS 15.4.1 and iPadOS 15.4.1 update on all supported devices which fixes some bugs found inside the previous 15.4 version. Among the things that the update addressed is the battery drain issues faced by some users, as we’ve reported previously.
In order to get the update, users of supported Apple devices only need to go to the Settings app, select General and then Software Update. Besides releasing an update for iOS and iPadOS, Apple has also released tvOS 15.4.1, HomePod 15.4.1 and watchOS 8.5.1.

Reliable tipster on everything relating to Apple, Ming-Chi Kuo is at it again. This time, the serial leaker is spilling the beans on a potential under-display Touch ID on the iPhone.
Previously, Kuo said that an adoption of the technology might be coming in 2023, but it seems that he have retracted that prediction. This is because according to his latest survey, Apple may only be adopting under-display fingerprint sensors in 2025 at the earliest.

This time around, Kuo’s aim is directed towards the upcoming iPhone 14 Pro, whereby the leaker gave an explanation as to why the upcoming device would have a larger camera bump.

Apple is reportedly set to ‘revolutionise’ the tech industry once again next year by changing how hardware will be sold. According to a Bloomberg report by Mark Gurman, a reliable leaker on everything Apple, the tech giant is planning to start selling mobile devices through a hardware subscription service.
