Apple Malaysia have made a surprise (not really) announcement with a brand new yellow colour for the Apple iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus smartphones. Going for pre-order from 10 March 2023, the new yellow iPhones will be available from 14 March 2023.

Apple’s introduction of the new “Plus” model for its iPhone lineup earlier this year has been rather disappointing, with the iPhone 14 Plus recording lacklustre sales and demand. Now, an alleged leak has claimed that the company is “seriously” concerned about the model’s prospects and will reevaluate its strategy for next year’s iPhone 15 series.

Previously, we reported that Apple paused the production line for the iPhone 14 Plus to reevaluate the demand for the device, which has been rather disappointing. Now, it looks like the demand for the iPhone 14 Plus is continuing to lag, to the point that panel shipments for the device are expected to be ‘close to zero’ next month.

Apple unveiled a new ‘Plus’ model for its iPhone lineup with the iPhone 14 series, which essentially replaced the ‘mini’ model with a larger model. However, the 6.7-inch iPhone model may not have been initially called ‘iPhone 14 Plus’ by Apple but ‘iPhone 14 Max’ instead, with many references on Apple’s website to corroborate this.

This year, Apple decided to do away with the iPhone mini lineup for the iPhone 14 Series and instead release a new ‘Plus’ smartphone for the vanilla iPhone 14. Well, it seems that bigger is not always better as the pre-orders for the iPhone 14 Plus are actually worse than the iPhone 13 mini during its launch last year.
