Calling all Apple fanboys, Digi is opening up pre-orders for the latest and greatest Apple iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus starting 13 October 2017 on their official website as well as their physical Digi Stores and Digi Store Express.

Fresh from the highest score of 94 on DxOMark for the Apple iPhone 8 Plus, DxOMark have awarded the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 with the same score of 94 but mention the zoom in particular. Featuring 12MP dual-rear cameras and a wide-angle 26mm f/1.7 lens plus a 52mm telephoto f/2.4 lens with x2 optical zoom and x8 digital zoom, according to DxOMark the Galaxy Note 8 has the best zoom capabilities for a cameraphone to date. Apparently, the Galaxy Note 8 managed to get the highest score of 100 in the photography section for less noise and more details but doesn't do as well in video with a score of 84.

Holy moly,  11Street has come up with the pre-order for the brand new Apple iPhone 8 and 8 Plus on its website today (28 September 2017) and delivery will start from 30 October 2017! Both flagships are covered with a 1-Year Apple Malaysia warranty, also will be sold at the official price of RM3649 and RM4149 respective with free gifts worth RM200.

It's been a few weeks now since Apple has rolled out iOS 11, followed by iOS 11.0.1, iOS 11.0.2, iOS 11.0.3 and finally, the latest iOS 11.1 that was released on 31 October 2017. Anyway, for those who have gotten the latest iOS 11.1, the update may not seem like there are many changes except for the obvious new App Store design and the Control Centre. As usual, Apple always never mentions the specified number on the RAM and mAh battery in their presentations. Leaving the rest of the world figuring out the figures, the company even has the audacity to post "lasts up to 2 hours longer than iPhone 7" on the iPhone X tech-specs list. Like, what does that even mean?! Anyway, we finally can rest easy as TENAA has finally unveiled the mystery.

Camera centric site DxOMark have now ranked the Apple iPhone 8 Plus at 94 while the iPhone 8 is 92, knocking down the previously ranked 90 HTC U11. The larger sensor in the iPhone 8 Plus apparently provides better photos for a top Photo score of 96 but perhaps not so much for video at 89. The single camera iPhone 8 performs just as well but isn't as good at zoom and bokeh as the bigger iPhone.

If you were one of the few to say that the Apple iPhone X is your future then perhaps you'd like to take back your words as Cult of Mac reports the iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus beat out the iPhone X in GeekBench 4. Logically, it is something we fully expected considering that all of these new iPhones are running the A11 Bionic chip and the iPhone X bezel-free display and Face ID no doubt saps a good deal of processing power. The Apple iPhone X, iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus have already been officially priced at $999 (~RM4203), $699 (~RM2941) and $799 (~RM3361). However, pricing in Malaysia isn't always a direct conversion of currency from the US pricing, so our resident analyst will show you how the numbers add up and result in a Malaysia price prediction that may actually be much higher than earlier expectations. 

As usual after a new Apple iPhone announcement, Apple Malaysia have cut the prices of the Apple iPhones currently being sold in on the Apple Malaysia Store. This price cut comes up to RM450 with the 32GB storage version Apple iPhone 7 Plus now costing RM3349 (previously it was RM3799). Other iPhones don't get as high a cut as the iPhone 7 Plus but there is still a slight price cut, making it the ideal time to get previous generation iPhones. We expect these prices to get slashed further the closer we get to the official Apple Malaysia Store selling the iPhone X, iPhone 8 Plus and iPhone 8 with more deals from various retailers but you shouldn't have to wait long as the new iPhones are expected in November or December 2017.

Finally, the long awaited 10th anniversary Apple iPhone X, along with the iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus are revealed to the world. Are they expensive? Yes, yes and yes.
