Apple has reportedly begun hiring employees for its first-ever Apple Store in Malaysia. This is according to reliable tipster Mark Gurman who said that the tech giant was spotted publishing job listing on its websites for locations in our country.

Apple has released the third major update for iOS 16 which brings with it some new features and bug fixes. Most notably, the iOS 16.3 update introduces Security Keys for Apple ID that allows for physical two-factor authentication.

Apple will reportedly introduce a major revamp to its iPad Pro lineup next year, which includes a new design and for the first time ever, an OLED display. As for the iPad Pro series that are coming this year, it allegedly won’t feature “anything of note”.

Apple is reportedly introducing thinner bezels with curved edges on its upcoming iPhone 15 series while retaining the same display sizes as the current iPhone 14 series. This is according to reliable tipster ShrimpApplePro which has a decent track record of leaks in the past.

Apple has allegedly paused development on its augmented reality (AR) glasses and would focus on making a more affordable mixed reality headset instead. The tech giant is reportedly facing technical difficulties with the former, which has the same concept as the Google Glass smart glasses.

Apple is reportedly planning to directly take on Google and Amazon in the smart home market by releasing a slew of devices in the near future. These include a smart display device to compete with the Google Nest and Amazon’s Echo Show.

Apple have announced their M2 Pro and M2 Max chipsets with the M2 Pro delivering up to 12-core CPU and up to 19-core GPU with up to 32GB of fast unified memory. The M2 Max utilizes this same CPU but goes a level higher with a 38-core GPU, double the unified memory bandwidth and up to 96GB of unified memory. Both chips feature a faster 16-core Neural Engine and are featured in Apple’s latest MacBook Pro and Mac Mini lineups. 

Apple may be making its first launch of 2023 as early as tomorrow (18 January 2023) as sources are claiming that the tech giant will be announcing new MacBook Pro models. Moreover, the company is expected to hold Mac-related briefings with the media followed by an announcement on its Newsroom website.

Previously, we reported that Apple has moved a portion of its manufacturing for the iPhone 14 series to India as part of its effort to move production away from China. Now, a new report suggests that the tech giant is further investing in India, as half of all iPhones are expected to be manufactured in the country by 2027.

Apple is reportedly gearing up a bid for the streaming rights to the English Premier League (EPL) which is soon coming up for renewal. The deal may cost the tech giant up to USD250 million or ~RM1.08 billion per year.
