It seems that a report from Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo hinted that Apple’s upcoming Mixed Reality headset is expected to come equipped with Eye Tracking that’s capable of recognizing irises. With that being said, there could be a huge possibility that the headset will come equipped with an iris authentication feature.

When it comes to biometric authentication, it's hard to say whether face or fingerprint recognition is more secure. But Apple seems to think the latter would definitely be needed, with a rumour of Touch ID coming back to the flagship iPhone models appearing before.
