    TM and DNB clash over early termination of 5G deal

    In case you missed it, U Mobile has signed a three-year 5G wholesale agreement with Telekom Malaysia Berhad (TM) at the end of February. At the same time, TM confirmed and exercised its contractual rights to terminate its existing 5G wholesale access agreement with Digital Nasional Berhad (DNB). As you can imagine, this didn't sit well with DNB.

    With the commercial launch of 5G services in Putrajaya, Cyberjaya and Kuala Lumpur (some spots), Telekom Malaysia Berhad (TM) just recently announced the signing of a Fibre Leasing Service agreement with Digital Nasional Berhad (DNB) to speed up the deployment of the Government-owned 5G network nationwide. The term sheet agreement is a total contract value of RM2 billion over 10 years.

    Qualcomm's Snapdragon 875G chipsets will be manufactured by Samsung

    Based on a report by myfixguide.com, it seems that Qualcomm has contracted Samsung to manufacture the Snapdragon 875G chipset, which could be released somewhere around the end of this year. While not much is known in regards to which smartphone will come with the aforementioned chip, we do know that the contract is worth around ~RM3.5 billion.
