Ah...Crunchyroll, the OG website for streaming thousands of anime shows. You must be thinking that the new subscription pricing is insane and we agree too. The Crunchyroll management just announced that its Premium membership fee has been reduced in almost 100 countries including Malaysia.

For those unaware, Sony acquired Crunchyroll for USD 1.175 billion (~RM4.98 billion) at the end of last year. The move was recently completed, so Sony could be thinking about how to make use of the platform. One way could involve PlayStation Plus.

If you don't know what Crunchyroll is, it's basically an online streaming platform for anime and one of the most reputable websites for legal viewing. With that said, the brand has been acquired by Sony for a whopping $1.1175 billion! So why is this a big deal, you ask?

Any anime fans here? If you are one, you've probably heard of Crunchyroll, even if you don't use the platform. The platform is currently owned by AT&T, but that might change soon. Sources claim that the American company is looking to sell Crunchyroll in a massive deal.
