Tension for TikTok is rising as US President Donald Trump has just issued an executive order to ban the app in 45 days. It's not just TikTok though, as WeChat just got pulled into the situation as well for the same days given for the ban. That said, WeChat belongs to Tencent Holdings Ltd in China, so does this mean that the ban could extend to PUBG Mobile and other video game companies (partially) owned by them?

Yes, we bet you didn't know Donald Trump had a Twitch account (because we didn't too lol). It may seem like an unrelated thing for him to have but it was used to broadcast his Tulsa Rally which also unfortunately showed past clips of his 2016 campaign that led to his suspended account. 

Some of us thought of it as just another spat between political figure and private companies. But it looks like the small spat between US President Donald Trump and social media companies has blown out of proportion. Yup, Trump has signed an executive order that is aimed at social media companies like Twitter and Facebook.

Earlier, we have heard the news that HONOR might turn to MediaTek for the supply of chipsets as the aftermath of the US sanctions. As the parent brand, Huawei is also in a hardship that the tech giant has been cut from most of its chipset suppliers. Huawei has been using MediaTek's chipsets on some of its smartphones, and the order made to the Taiwanese chip manufacturer has even increased to 300 percent this year. However, it is said that MediaTek might not able to continue to supply chipsets to Huawei for some reason.

Based on a statement by ithome.com, it seems that the president of the United States is currently in talks with TSMC as well as Intel on opening factories to the US. But that’s not all, they are also keen on having Samsung expand to the US market as well.

From all the YouTube ads promoting how secure are Apple’s devices (nope, not skippable), we might already get the idea that the company values privacy very much. However, what we don’t know is the tech giant actually does not have the ability to access data that is being encrypted on an iPhone. From there, they have dissapointed the President of the United States, Donald Trump, as Apple refused to decrypt the data from criminals’ iPhones to assist the government.

It's been a tough few months for Huawei getting caught in the trade war, but here's some good news for the China tech company. According to sources, they have been granted a license by Microsoft to export their software. This is due to the recent ban lift extension by the US Commerce Department this week, giving them another 90 days.
