Since mid-August 2018, Digi has introduced a bunch of Add-On features for both prepaid and postpaid plans including the Internet Cili Padi, which initially offered 3GB of Internet data for RM3 but that's changed now. From now onwards, it now offers 10GB Internet data for just RM2!

With the official release of the Apple iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus happening at 12am on 16 October 2015 we've put together a quick telco plan comparison according to below RM100 and above RM200 monthly commitment payments. While you can just as easily do this with our phone plan comparison tool, the tables below should offer a quick look at what most people are worried about here in Malaysia, the price. As such the tables below cover the Apple iPhone 6s with 16GB storage for 24 month contracts and the various Malaysian telcos that support 24 month contract periods. As always, we recommend you opening up our phone plan comparison tool for a more specific comparison according to your own specifications but the tables below should help you determine which plan bundle works best for you if price is your main concern.

In answer to the recent FIRST Basic 38 by Celcom plan, DiGi have cut down their DiGi SmartPlan 50 and SmartPlan 78 monthly fees down to as low as RM36 a month. Offering 3GB of Data it also offers free calls and free SMS with call charges from 15 sen per minute and SMS from 10 sen per SMS. The offer is currently only available from 15 June 2015 to 15 July 2015 but once you do sign up, you can pay the discounted monthly fee for 12 months. In addition, there are no contracts, but after the 12th month, you have to pay the original monthly fee of RM50 or RM78. The offer is only available for sign-ups at the DiGi store or authorized distributors and unused data will not be carried forward to the next month. DiGi is now offering the Meizu MX4 smartphone from RM429 with their postpaid plans. Retailing at RM1299, this version of the smartphone packs in 32GB worth of storage. As usual with DiGi, to qualify you'll have to sign up for a postpaid DG SmartPlan 78, 108 or 148 postpaid plan under a 24 month contract. Active Digi postpaid users with 12 months usage or more can waive the advance payment, but if not, you'll have to pay a 1 month's worth advance payment. While we've already covered the various Apple iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus bundles available for DiGi, they have also revealed where they are going to launch the smartphones as well. Like the other Malaysian Telcos, the DiGi launch will happen at 12.00am tonight at various locations in Malaysia. This includes the DiGi stores at Paradigm Mall in Petaling Jaya, Taman Molek in Johor Bahru, Api-Api in Kota Kinabalu, Jalan Kulas Tengah in Kuching, Pulau Tikus and Jalan Tun Ismail in Kuantan, Pahang. DiGi has opened up their registration of interest page for the Apple iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus smartphones and at the same time, revealed when Malaysia would be getting the latest Apple iPhones. According to DiGi this date is 7 November 2014. If you've been waiting and wanting a cheaper Apple iPhone 6 or iPhone 6 Plus and you like DiGi's telco plans go check out the registration of interest page and fill up your particulars. We expect DiGi to hold a big launch party for the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus on that Friday so better clear up your schedule for it.

Somehow, DiGi have managed to get their hands on some stock of the near sold-out ASUS ZenFone 5 smartphones and is now offering the ASUS ZenFone 5 for free on a DG Smart Plan 78 postpaid plan. You will have to sign up for a 24 month contract and pay an Advance or Upfront payment but the ZenFone 5 should be well worth it. The ASUS ZenFone 5 currently retails for RM599 but offers tech specs and features a bit higher than your average midrange smartphone. As rumoured, DiGi is currently offering the Xiaomi Mi 3 for FREE provided you sign up for the SmartPlan 148 under a 24 month contract. If you don't mind paying either RM259 or RM499 you can sign up for the SmartPlan 78 and SmartPlan 108 for the same 24-month contract period. Loyal postpad users who have been with DiGi for 12 months and above won't have to pay any advanced payment but bear in mind that DiGi only have the Grey coloured version of the Xiaomi Mi 3 available.
