Shell recently unveiled its Triple 10 Challenge concept car featuring a B-segment EV that charges under 10 minutes with a standard 175kwh charger, has an efficient 10 km/kWh driving ratio and results in only 10 tonnes of CO2e lifecycle emissions. How did they do this? By changing the cooling plumbing for the battery.

According to Paultan, BYD Malaysia has confirmed that it will be bringing its Megawatt Flash Charging fast charging technology to the local market. This technology is capable of charging the battery from 10% to 70% in just 5 minutes, with a power output of up to 1,500 kW (1.5 MW). It uses a 1,000-volt architecture and an advanced cooling system, allowing for an additional range of around 400 km in that time.

PRO-NET, a wholly-owned subsidiary of PROTON Holdings Berhad, officially announced over 1,500 charging points spanning over 500 selected condominiums and apartments, thus solving one of the most critical issues for urban drivers who live in strata-type homes and do not have access to personal wall chargers. Through the Proton e.MAS app, owners of the Proton e.MAS EV model can now enjoy exclusive residential charging rates as low as RM0.63/kWh.

You might have noticed that the new Shuttle Selatan service is using older diesel trains despite already approving around RM200 million to buy 10 new electric commuter trains. Perodua just announced that the Perodua QV-E is now RM93,999 (previously it was RM109700), due to better localization of parts.
