Caretaker Finance Minister Tengku Datuk Seri Zafrul Tengku Abdul Aziz has lauded the implementation of the Digital Nasional Bhd (DNB) 5G access agreement, saying that it will enable mobile network operators (MNOs) in our country to save up to RM30 billion over the next decade. The agreement is the world’s first single wholesale 5G network and allows MNOs to save on infrastructure construction costs.

Finance Minister Tengku Datuk Seri Zafrul Tengku Aziz has revealed that all 6 local telcos have reached a consensus on the access agreement with Digital Nasional Berhad (DNB) to lease 5G services. The telco companies are Telekom Malaysia (TM), YTL Communications Sdn Bhd (YES), Digi Telecommunications Sdn Bhd, Celcom Axiata Bhd, Maxis Bhd and U Mobile Sdn Bhd.

Finance Minister: DNB stakes may be offered to foreign telco companies after Maxis and U Mobile snub

This is because there are several local and foreign banks that are ready to finance the 5G network implementation in Malaysia.

So this just came in - according to sources, Finance Minister, Datuk Seri Tengku Zafrul Tengku Abdul Aziz has decided to increase the eWallet allowance of RM50 to RM100. 1.1 million Malaysian students are now eligible and Bernama also confirmed this news just a while ago on their Twitter page.
