After several months, Google has finally unveiled the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro with a twist. Instead of using the traditional Qualcomm Snapdragon flagship chipset, this smartphone comes with a new Tensor SoC. Here's everything you need to know.

The Google Pixel 6 that is going to be launched later this year is rumoured to be the first Google smartphone that uses an in-house chipset. Earlier, it was also reported that Samsung would participate in the development of the chipset codenamed "Whitechapel". Due to the relationship, insiders are claiming that the chipset could also offer AMD's graphics.

Not long ago, we've seen leaked renders of the upcoming Google Pixel 6 roaming in the wild. The renders suggest that the next-generation Pixel device will have a rather different design compared to all of its predecessors. With that said, it might also create problems for the case makers because of its unconventional camera bump. However, at least someone has successfully made it and leaked it on the internet.

It seems that Twitter user @FrontTron recently posted a tweet, hinting that the Google Pixel 6 will come equipped with an embedded gimbal camera that provides much better image stabilization when capturing video and pictures. But that’s not all, a separate statement by Twitter user @UniverseIce seems to hint that the aforementioned smartphone will most likely come equipped with a Samsung 50MP ISOCELL sensor as the main camera.

For the last few years, Google has stuck with similar designs for its Pixel series smartphones. But that may finally be changing this year with the Google Pixel 6. Jon Prosser has revealed renders of the device that's set to be announced at Google I/O 2021, and it looks pretty good.

Looks like a report from XDA-developers seems to hint that the upcoming Google Pixel smartphone is expected to come equipped with Google’s very own Whitechapel chipset. While not much is known in regards to the performance of the aforementioned chip, our source did mention that it will be manufactured by Samsung.

Based on a statement by 9to5google, it seems that Google will most likely be unveiling the Pixel 6 that’s equipped with their very own GS101 Whitechapel chipset. While not much is known in regards to the exact performance specifications of the chip, our source did mention that it will most likely have some similarities with Samsung’s Exynos chips.

Other than the Pixel 4, Google's Pixel smartphones have been depending on a physical fingerprint scanner for security. This time, it looks like the company is finally trying to hop on the trend by using an in-display finger scanner. It is said that the technology could be seen on the upcoming Pixel 6.
