The Google I/O event just kicked off a few hours ago and the Google Pixel Fold was officially announced. It's now available for pre-order but as always, it's not coming to Malaysia at all. Regardless, here's everything you need to know about the newest Android foldable device.

On May The 4th which is associated with Star Wars Day, Google actually unveiled its Pixel Fold officially before the Google I/O launch event on 10 May 2023. With a cheeky pun play on "May The Fold Be With You", the Pixel Fold is no longer just a rumour. 

The Pixel 7 series and the first Pixel smartwatch are arriving next week. Besides these exciting products, we might get other surprises from the event. According to a reputable tipster, Google could give us a glimpse of the long-awaited Pixel Fold on 6 October.

We have been seeing rumours saying that Google is working on the Pixel Fold and could launch it in no time. Sadly, news about Google launching its first foldable smartphone might not appear for a while. According to the latest information, the company might have scrapped the project after cancelling the orders with its supply chain.

Earlier, Google's first foldable smartphone, presumably called Pixel Fold, is said to arrive by the end of 2021. Today, new information has appeared by claiming that the device will be presented alongside the company upcoming flagship series, Pixel 6.

According to rumours, we could see more foldable smartphones from several brands being launched in the second half of 2021. Other than Samsung's Galaxy Fold 3 and Z Flip 3, Google is also reported to launch its first folding smartphone by the end of 2021.

Despite their price tags, brands seem to be gung-ho for foldable devices. We're seeing more companies developing their own foldable or rollable phones, with Google being one of them. Now, there seems to be a new update on that.
