It's been a while since we last heard of HONOR and we are expecting some new products coming this year as an independent brand. According to sources, an HONOR executive has confirmed that a new HONOR Play series phone will be releasing in May.

With HONOR 20 releasing in Malaysia for a couple of days now, HONOR Malaysia is also announcing some new OS updates for its smartphone lineup which include EMUI 9.1 and Magic UI 2.1. The Magic UI 2.1 is only for the HONOR View20, though, while EMUI 9.1 will be coming out on nine HONOR devices.

HONOR Malaysia recently announced that they’ll be throwing a sales party for their fans in conjunction with their 5th Anniversary in Malaysia. Beginning from 21 June 2019 to 31 July 2019, the sales party will cover the HONOR View20, 20 Lite, 8X, 10 Lite, 8c, 7s and more. The biggest discount for walk-in customers appears to be for the View20 going from RM2499 for the 8GB RAM + 256GB storage version to RM1999 for up to RM500 in savings along with a free selfie stick and HONOR backpack.

26th of January is the day the HONOR View20 will be hitting Malaysian markets which is only mere days away after its launch in Paris. To celebrate, HONOR will be having their largest roadshow yet at the Ground Floor of High Street in 1 Utama Shopping Center starting from 9.30AM. Early birds will be eligible to receive over RM700 worth of goodies.

As we move towards the end of 2018, we have definitely witnessed the trend of the battle of the mid-range smartphones in Malaysia.
