During mid-May, Huawei Malaysia announced that there was a 6% cash-back until 31 May 2018. Many speculated that the Huawei products will still have their price reduced after the promo and guess what? It turns out to be true, starting from 1 June 2018, selected Huawei devices prices will be updated without GST involved.

So just a few hours ago, Huawei Malaysia has announced that their fans and customers will get to enjoy a 6% cash-back off the retail recommended price for selected products. This will start from tomorrow onwards (18 May) until 31 May 2018.

Huawei's Consumer Business Group also received awards from the European Imaging and Sound Association (EISA) with the EISA Smartphone Camera 2017-2018 Award for the Huawei P10 and the EISA Wearable Device 2017-2018 Award for the Huawei Watch 2. As the 5th consecutive year that the Huawei P series has been recognised by EISA Awards, the Huawei P10 won thanks to its Leica dual rear camera, Leica front camera, 3D face detection, dynamic illumination and other technology. Priced at an RRP of RM2499, recent price drops have seen it go to as low as RM1939.
The Huawei Watch 2 on the other hand won due to its stand-alone 4G technology, IP68 dust and waterproof rating, improved battery life, personalized health coach, fitness tracking and more. While it was quite highly priced initially at an RRP of RM1999, the sportier Watch 2 can now be had for as low as RM1457.

Huawei Malaysia held a media briefing for their Huawei Watch 2 today, confirming that Malaysia will be getting the 4G LTE version for RM1999. Featuring a premium round metal body like traditional watches, the Huawei Watch 2 has a sporty plastic strap and is completely standalone, meaning it has its own nano SIM and can work without a phone. No news on the Huawei Watch 2 Classic or Porsche Design version yet but the Watch 2 is currently available with Maxis who is offering the Watch 2 with the Huawei P10 or Mate 9 on their Zerolution bundles from RM78 per month featuring 2 nano SIMs for a single number.

Apart from the Huawei P10, P10 Plus and P10 Lite introduction, Huawei Malaysia also made a surprise announcement with the Huawei Watch 2, Huawei Watch 2 Classic and the Huawei Nova Lite. No price or release dates for these devices yet but we're told they may come in April 2017.
