HUAWEI's in-house operating system (OS) HarmonyOS has been improving and will make its debut sooner or later on mobile devices. Earlier news has reported that some of the current HUAWEI and HONOR smartphones will be able to make the switch by the time when the mobile version of the OS arrives. Now, the list of smartphones has appeared online showing us which of the devices will be eligible for it.

Earlier, HUAWEI was speculated to be selling their sub-brand HONOR to another company. Now, the news has come confirming that the Chinese tech giant has already done so. Sooner or later, HONOR will become a standalone brand from HUAWEI with an official announcement.

A statement by a user on weibo has revealed that HONOR could be unveiling a 23.8-inch 144Hz gaming monitor, which is expected to complement the HONOR Hunter gaming laptop that was unveiled not too long ago. While there is no news on the release date on the aforementioned monitor, our source did mention that it will sport a similar design as Huawei’s upcoming gaming monitor as well.

So here's some juicy rumour news, Reuters has reported that Huawei is currently meeting with Digital China Group Co Ltd about selling parts of its HONOR smartphone unit to potential buyers. Should it be true and successful, the deal could go up to 25 billion Yuan (~RM15.4 billion).

Now, it appears that not only new smartphones can have the OS, but current HUAWEI and HONOR devices will also get to make the switch (well, at least some).

It seems that HONOR has recently unveiled two new smartwatches during the IFA2020, which are the HONOR GS Pro, as well as the HONOR Watch ES starting from the price of 99.99 Euros (~RM491). Unfortunately, there’s no official information on the Malaysia release date and local pricing, so you might need to stay tuned for that.
