Shopee Malaysia has announced the App Protection Warranty programme, which allows users who bought any of the selected Huawei devices (see the list below) from 1 July until 30 September 2019 from participating dealers on Shopee to get a full refund if some apps are not working. These dealers include the Huawei Official Shop, Huawei Concept Store, DirectD, Senheng, Courts Flagship Store and Satu Gadget.

So apparently, Huawei Malaysia has been doing a Battery Replacement Event for quite some time now. Starting from 8 April, the event will end on 7 May 2019 and no matter which Huawei smartphone model it is, it only cost RM99 which is a deal breaker.

Camera-centric site DxOMark has given the Samsung Galaxy S10 Plus 109 points, joining the same rank as Huawei Mate 20 Pro and P20 Pro. But thanks to its 10MP (dual pixel) + 8MP dual front cameras, the Galaxy S10+ is now the selfie king with a score of 96. According to them, the 10MP dual-pixel autofocus main sensor with f/1.9 aperture and 8MP depth sensing f/2.2 aperture secondary sensor lets the Galaxy S10+ “offers the best front camera performance for both still images and video” so far, increasing image detail while keeping down noise levels compared to the Galaxy Note 9.

DxOMark has recently released tests results for the Huawei Mate 20 Pro and determined that the device is ranked as one of the top camera smartphones currently available in the market next to the Huawei P20 Pro. Taking a closer look at the test results of both the smartphones mentioned, they both managed to score similar overall results in the Photography department. The video aspect, on the other hand, the Huawei P20 Pro tops the Mate 20 Pro by just one point overall.

DxOMark recently weighed in with their analysis of 2018, particularly for cameraphones and smartphone cameras. While the reigning champion Huawei P20 Pro remains at the top with a score of 109 and LEICA Triple rear cameras, all of the top 5 cameraphones of 2018 utilized multiple camera setups including the Apple iPhone XS Max at 2nd place, HTC U12 Plus at 3rd, Samsung Galaxy Note 9 in 4th and the Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 in 5th making it the year of the multicamera cameraphone.

Huawei consumer BG has announced that the Chinese manufacturer has sold more than 200 million smartphones in the year of 2018, outselling 2017 by nearly 50 million units, pulling ahead of Apple in terms of sales 3 quarters in a row, retaining its number 2 spot as the second best smartphone brand internationally. This is largely due to the “out-of-the-box” thinking and design philosophy that Huawei did in order to design and manufacture their smartphones while retaining a "consumer-centric" focus on innovation.
