After a teaser about a Huawei Nova phone with a 20MP front camera was recently released by Huawei Malaysia, it turns out that this could be the Huawei Nova Plus 2 as it was also recently listed on the US FCC. Other tech specs for the Nova 2 Plus include an octa-core HiSilicon Kirin 659 processor, 4GB RAM, 128GB storage (wow!) , 5.5-inch FHD display and 3340 mAh battery. It will also feature a 12MP + 8MP dual rear camera to go with the aforementioned 20MP front camera and eLux tech. No exact Malaysia release dates or pricing details yet but it is going for 2899 yuan or about RM1838 (which could mean an RM1899 price tag here) in China.

So here's some news, Huawei Malaysia has hinted a new smartphone is coming to Malaysia. You must be thinking what smartphone could it be, since the P10 series are already here, and we aren't expecting to see the upcoming Mate 10 that soon yet. Well, the answer is the Nova series and it is Huawei's first smartphone ever with a 20MP front camera.

Today, the Huawei Nova 2 and Nova 2 Plus were revealed in China with a huge makeover in design and camera upgrades using eLux technology and a 20MP front camera sensor, the price tag on these devices are 2499 Yuan and 2899 Yuan (around RM1555 and RM1800) respectively. Besides that, they also showcased three other devices which are the new Huawei sportsband, earphones, and mini 360 camera. Below is the official tech-specs.

So it’s official, Huawei’s Nova series will appearing this year with the latest addition of Nova 2 and Nova 2 Plus. It was reported that the two mid-range smartphones are scheduled to be released this week on 26 May 2017, thanks to the new promotion teasers.

Just last week, we reported that Huawei is planning to come up with new entry level phones. Now it seems that they are also planning to bring their mid-range phones into fruition, namely the Huawei Nova and Nova Plus which were spotted on TENAA from China’s Telecom regulatory agency.
