Huawei is pretty much known by now to have one of the fastest SuperCharge technologies on the market. It is rumoured that the company is now working on a new type of 20W charger that uses half the amps of the SCP Gen. 2 uses. Samsung has been gearing up to release its first smartphone with the Infinity-O display to claim the title of being the first in the world. However, their dreams may be dashed by Huawei with their upcoming Nova 4 smartphone as renders show an O cutout on the display of the device. Tech specs wise, the smartphone may be released with a Kirin 980 SoC which is a step up from the Nova 3 but other than that, no other info on the device is available yet.

Recently two Huawei 7.12-inch smartphone has been spotted on TENAA and both is expected to come equipped with with a large 4900mAh capacity battery, Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 chipset which, 16MP + 2MP rear facing camera, 8MP front facing selfie camera, 4GB of RAM, up to 128GB of internal storage, and a screen resolution of 1080 x 2244 pixels.

So here are some updates from the IFA 2018 event, besides Huawei introducing the new Kirin 980 chipset, they also won other awards that include the Huawei AI Cube, an AI-powered speaker and 4G router and of course, the aforementioned Kirin 980 which won 7 awards.

Did Huawei really say that? Yes. In fact, this came from Richard Yu, the CEO of Huawei's Consumer Business Group just a few hours ago today at a conference, also with the fact that Huawei has managed to shipped more than 95 million smartphones during the first half of 2018.

After Samsung and Huawei announced their development of the flexible smartphones, OPPO and Xiaomi has also recently announced their entrance into the flexible smartphone development as well based on a report by digitimes.com. It was reported that Xiaomi plans to use LG Panels for their upcoming bendable smartphone while there is no further information in regards to OPPO’s development.

So it's official, Huawei will also show up at the upcoming IFA 2018 event in Germany and while we're not expecting any new devices from them, it pretty much hints that they will showcase their latest processor - the Hisilicon Kirin 980. Why do we say so? Because they did the same thing at last year's IFA event with the Kirin 970.
