So just recently, there was a new JOI Book SK3000 released in the Malaysian market. While it looks like an ordinary laptop, this one is different because it doesn't feature a traditional x86 processor, but a Qualcomm Mobile Compute Platform. Certainly a rarity among Windows laptops!

Qualcomm recently revealed a number of Windows over Snapdragon chipsets for laptops and probably the first to arrive in Malaysia is the JOI Book SK3000. Utilizing a 12.5-inch FHD display, this ultra-compact laptop not only runs Microsoft Windows 10 Pro but also uses a Qualcomm Snapdragon 850 chipset. Curious how it handles? Local Malaysian company SNS Network have officially launched their JOI Book SK3000 laptop today featuring not only a Qualcomm Snapdragon 850 chipset but also using Microsoft Windows 10 Pro. Priced at RM2199, it was previously on pre-order with a number of freebies but it is now available at SNS Network Ipoh HQ and their GLOO online and offline retail outlets.

In our most recent briefings with Qualcomm, they revealed that new Windows-on-Snapdragon laptops would be coming to Malaysia soon, and it appears one of the first would be the JOI Book SK3000 laptop. Utilizing both a Qualcomm Snapdragon 850 chipset and Windows 10 Pro, the laptop is on pre-order for Malaysians at RM2199 with an ETA set for 6 January 2021. Is it worth it?
