It seems that Maxis briefly unveiled the VoLTE feature on their official website, showcasing the features and benefits the technology provides such as high-quality calls, fast call setup, as well as seamless switching between voice and video calls. However, for some odd reason, Maxis decided to take down all mentions of VoLTE on their website which might hint that the pages were not supposed to be up until a later date.

A good after sales service is something many telcos in Malaysia lack, which is why we're so happy that a new telco has come up promising a renewed focus on the customer. This new telco is Altel Communications and will be offering prepaid services that include LTE connectivity. Rather than a big network provider themselves, they will be among the first smaller telco companies in Malaysia to be the middle man as they'll be utilizing Celcom's LTE 2600MHz spectrum. Other features include good domestic call rates, low broadband adoption fees and the aforementioned (hopefully) excellent customer service.
