Rumours: Lenovo Vibe S1 has world's first front dual camera?

We most recently saw a dual camera setup on the Honor 6 Plus smartphone and it offered hardware-based bokeh shots for those who like to blur or zoom in to certain portions of the picture after it has been taken. According to rumours and serial leaker @upleaks, the Lenovo Vibe S1 could be the world's first smartphone to have a dual camera setup on the front, so you can take bokeh selfie shots. While we estimate that the two front cameras are at most 8MP each, other tech specs includes a Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor, 2GB RAM, 16GB storage + microSD, a 5-inch FHD display, 13MP rear camera with LED flash and Android 5.0 Lollipop. No Malaysia release dates or pricing details yet, but as always with such rumours, do take this with a pinch of salt.

Lenovo Vibe X2 coming to Malaysia this week for RM1199

Lenovo Malaysia has just revealed the release date and pricing of the upcoming Lenovo Vibe X2 smartphone. The company will launch the dual SIM variant of the device in Malaysia next week for a price tag of RM1199. The Vibe X2 smartphone is Lenovo's answer to Huawei's Honor 6 and Xiaomi's Mi4. It comes with a Mediatek MT6592 Octa Core processor clocked at 2.0GHz with 2GB RAM. The 32GB internal storage that comes with the device is non-expandable. You get a 5 inch screen up front with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels and it is pretty compact too, measuring 140.2 x 68.6 x 7.3 mm. Unlike the smartphones these days which feature a Unibody design, Lenovo has taken a different route with its Vibe X2. The device has a unique three tone layered metal design which sets it apart from other phones in the market. But even with the extra layers, the device remains thin at 7.27mm. At the back, you have a 13MP camera, while up front you get a 5MP shooter. It runs on Android 4.4 Kikat with Vibe UI 2.0 on top and comes with a 2300mah battery. If you'd like to be there when it comes Lenovo are offering a chance to win 500 free invites for the Malaysia launch party of the Lenovo Vibe X2.

  • Lenovo Vibe Z2 Pro announced in Malaysia for RM2299

Lenovo Vibe Z2 Pro announced in Malaysia for RM2299

The Lenovo Vibe Z2 Pro is finally available for sale in Malaysia. Lenovo Malaysia is bundling the JBL E-40 Bluetooth Headphone with the device, all for a price tag of RM2299. Tech specs wise, the Z2 Pro is one of the best smartphones in the market. It comes with a 2.5Ghz Snapdragon 801 processor with 3GB RAM. For storage, you get 32GB which unfortunately is non-expandable. On the front, there's a large 6 inch display with Quad HD 2K resolution. Even with a display of this size, the Z2 Pro measures just 156 x 81.3 x 7.7 mm, thanks to the thin bezels. However, at 179 grams it is a bit heavy due to its premium metal finish. On the back, there is a 16MP camera with OIS, autofocus and dual LED flash. The front camera measures 5MP which should be enough for everyday video calls and selfies. Lenovo has smartly embedded a 4000 mAh battery inside, which the company claims delivers up to 45 hours of talktime and 39 days of standby time.
