We covered multiple MWC stuff that happened over the past few days, our boy, Jim managed to have a first impression + hands-on experience of the foldable Huawei Mate X smartphone, the untouchable (literally) Sony Xperia 1 and Xperia 10 series, the penta-camera Nokia 9 PureView, the 48MP Xiaomi Mi 9, an 18,000mAh Energizer smartphone, and many more MWC 2019 stuff (which you can find on our search engine). Also not forgetting the new vivo V15 Pro release in Malaysia on Super Brand Day, and of course - the Samsung Galaxy S10 series has officially launched in Malaysia!

Legion of Champions III 2019 which was held in Bangkok, Thailand, ended with a bang with Malaysia’s team D.O.D taking home the 8th spot and a USD$900 prize (~RM3698). Taking the champion spot is team Awe Star from Korea, winning USD$7000 (~RM28763) and USD$5000 worth of Legion Y530 laptops. The tournament is the third collaboration between Lenovo and Intel.

Lenovo has recently announced the launch of the ThinkPad X1 Extreme starting from RM6974 and it will be available on starting from December 2018 onwards. The tech specs of the laptop includes the 8th Generation Intel Core i9 processor, Nvidia GeForce GTX1050 Ti, up to 64GB of DDR4 RAM, up to 2TB of SSD storage and up to 15 hours of battery life with RapidCharge technology which has the capabilities of charging up to 80 minutes in an hour.

Lenovo has officially launched the refresh of the Lenovo Legion line-up particularly the Y530 and Y730 Laptops, C530 and C730 Cube, T730 and T530 Tower. In terms of pricing, the Lenovo Y530 is priced at RM3599 and it is available on Lenovo Exclusive Stores nationwide as well as online stores while the other products mentioned will be available at a later date along with the pricing.

Lenovo held their first 1v1 tournament at their Legion concept store in Digital Mall PJ with a total prize pool of up to RM10000 worth of Lenovo Legion products. There were over 60 local gamers that battled it out in the game title League Of Legends for the opportunity to be the Champion of the tournament.

Lenovo has introduced the Y730 and Y530 gaming laptops, T730 and T530 gaming PCs, as well as the C730 and C530 cubes to the Lenovo Legion lineup. Starting off the laptop segment, the Lenovo Legion Y730 and Y530 will be shipped with the 8th Gen Intel Core i7 processor, GTX 1050 Ti GPU, and optional 16GB Corsair DDR4 RAM. Not only that, there’s also an option for the laptop to come equipped with a 144hz IPS display. The Y730 is the first gaming laptop to come equipped with the Dolby Atmos Speaker System with Dolby Sound Radar.

Lenovo has recently announced they had developed a new patent-pending, Low Temperature Solder (LTS) process to improve PC manufacturing while conserving energy and increasing reliability. This will drastically reduce carbon emissions by an estimate of 35%, as well as improving power consumption and reduce heat thru an improved tin-based solder process which replaces the older lead-based process. This new manufacturing process can be universally applied to all electronics manufacturing that involves printed circuit boards, with no cost or performance impact to customers.
