The graph of positive Covid-19 cases in Malaysia has been decreasing recently but yesterday, the government has announced on the new enhanced movement control order (EMCO) with the advice from the Health Ministry at Pusat Bandar Utara in Kuala Lumpur and the areas aroundKuala Lumpur wholesale market which made it the sixth EMCO from 20 April until May 3.

The government has announced that Menara City One is to be put under enhanced movement control orders (EMCO) after 17 confirmed COVID-19 cases in the condominium. This is the third EMCO area announcement after 2 Simpang Renggam areas and 7 villages in Hulu Langat were put into EMCO. This is also the first directive that involves a condominium building in Kuala Lumpur.

Two areas in Kluang are now on Enhanced movement control order(EMCO) until 9 April 2020 being the highest positive recorded cases of COVID-19. From the total of 83 cases recorded, 61 cases are from the two areas in Simpang Renggam, Kampung Dato’ Ibrahim Majid and Bandar Baharu Dato’ Ibrahim Majid.

Based on an official statement by Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin, Malaysia will go under movement controls or restrictions from 18 March until 31 March 2020 due to COVID-19. This is largely due to the rise in numbers of cases in the past few weeks globally and the recent mass gatherings locally.

The World Health Organization has declared that Covid-19 will be labelled as a pandemic virus, meaning that it has currently infected the whole world. A few days ago, Italy implemented its lockdown policy after cases went up to nearly 1,000 cases. Other than pharmacies and grocery stores, no other businesses can be in operation during this critical time. To help out the situation, Pornhub has announced that it will be giving everyone in Italy free premium access to its sites until 3 April 2020.
