The Petaling Jaya City Council (MBPJ) has introduced a rather eye-catching way to ensure Covid-19 SOPs compliance at Ramadhan bazaars this year. Get this, the city council is using an infrared headcount system to control the number of people coming into bazaars!
Currently being utilised at the bazaars in SS 6/1, Kelana Jaya and Section 4, Kota Damansara, the headcount system ensures that only two people are allowed to be at the same stall at one given time. With a limit of 30 stalls for each location, MBPJ set the maximum crowd capacity at 60 people at one time.

The Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) has urged Telegram users in Malaysia to activate the messaging app's ‘two-step verification’ security pin setting. This is following a rampant syndicate that has hacked numerous Telegram accounts in our country since the start of the year.
According to Bukit Aman Commercial Crime Investigation Department (CCID) director Datuk Mohd Kamaruddin Md. Din, the modus operandi of the syndicate is to hack social media accounts and then pose as the person that they hacked. He revealed that a total of 314 cases of online fraud involving more than RM2 million were recorded from January to March 2022 alone.

The Finance Ministry (MOF) in a statement yesterday announced that around 2 million Malaysian youths will receive an RM150 e-wallet credit starting this mid-April. Part of the government’s ePemula scheme, those that are eligible include youths aged 18 to 20 as well as full-time students in higher learning institutions.
Furthermore, those eligible would get to enjoy the benefit through one of four e-wallet providers, which are BigPay, GrabPay, ShopeePay and Touch ’n Go. MOF said that the four e-wallet service providers have a network of 1.2 million retailers in Malaysia.

The Employees’ Provident Fund (EPF) today revealed further details regarding the 2022 Special Withdrawal which allows members to withdraw up to RM10000. Taking to its official Facebook page, the statutory body revealed that only one single payment will be made to members under the scheme, starting from 20 April 2022.
To be eligible for the Special Withdrawal, members must be under 55 years old, a Malaysian citizen and have at least RM150 remaining in their EPF accounts. The scheme is available for non-Malaysian citizens too, including Permanent Residents.
