Nearly two weeks into the movement control order (MCO), the total number of patients tested positive for COVID-19 continues to rise in Malaysia. As a result, the government is looking for new ways to help combat the pandemic. Yesterday, the Ministry of Science, Technology, and Innovation (MOSTI) made an announcement asking for all Malaysians to contribute ideas.

It seems that the Kementerian Belia dan Sukan Malaysia (KBS Malaysia) will be giving out up to 5000 face masks as well as hand sanitizers to food deliverers such as GrabFood and FoodPanda riders from 27 March until 14 April 2020. About 223000 three-ply face masks had recently been seized by the Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs Ministry from a Facebook Seller in Kota Damansara. This is due to the fact that they were selling each mask at RM3.50 a unit, instead of the ceiling price of RM2.00, which was set on 20 March 2020.

As you all know by now, our government has declared an extension for the Movement Control Order (MCO) till 14 April 2020. In response to this, unifi has declared that it will continue to provide special add-ons and services until the restrictions have been lifted.
