Just earlier this week, Maxis has concluded their 3G SIM Swap Campaign and gave away RM1 million to those who had participated. The campaign first started in May, resulting 30 Maxis and Hotlink combined awarded for upgrading their 3G SIM card to a 4G SIM card.

It will take effect by the end of next year (2018) on December, reason being that the company wants to focus on expanding their own network instead piggybacking.
