On Google’s side, Google Meet, GMail and Google Play Protect for example have mostly built-in automatic protections but there are a number of checkup tools to see if you’re safe or not and the advice on what to do about it. On our part, we’ve seen a marked increase in such scams.

As Datuk Dr. Noor Nisham Abdullah announced there were 57 new Covid-19 infected cases and 3 more deaths yesterday, he mentioned there are 6 considerations that must be accounted before deciding to end the MCO on 28 April.

The graph of positive Covid-19 cases in Malaysia has been decreasing recently but yesterday, the government has announced on the new enhanced movement control order (EMCO) with the advice from the Health Ministry at Pusat Bandar Utara in Kuala Lumpur and the areas aroundKuala Lumpur wholesale market which made it the sixth EMCO from 20 April until May 3.

As we continue to write news pieces and information on how to prevent yourself from scamming, the Lembaga Hasil Dalam Negeri (LHDN) have posted a warning to the citizens on a piece of fake news. According to their Facebook page, they advised the public not to be fooled by a forwarded message about the Bantuan Prihatin Nasional (BPN) package being forfeited if not used during the second phase of the Movement Control Order.

Malaysians have been experiencing slow internet speeds and some technical issues during the movement control order (MCO). Defense Minister Ismail Yaakob said Telco and Internet Service Providers (ISPs) are now allowed to do installations and maintenance works at customers’ homes during MCO.
