The display of Ringgit money exchange to other world currencies was pulled from Google Search last March after it several times gave incorrect values. It must be admitted that since then the process of changing the currency to Ringgit became a bit tedious, making us ourselves have to move to Bing. So, what should you know about it?

Previously, we reported that the currency converter widget on Google is not showing again after it briefly disappeared during the whole wrong USD to MYR conversion fiasco. Now, Communications Minister Fahmi Fadzil has revealed the reason behind the feature being disabled by Google, as informed by the company to him.

Previously, we reported on how the Malaysian government is requesting an explanation from Google after Google Finance erroneously showed an incorrect exchange rate of the United States Dollar (USD) to the Malaysian Ringgit (MYR). While Google has yet to issue any statement on the matter, its Google Finance disclaimer page clarified that the service doesn’t verify any finance data and is not obligated to do so.
