Apple may be making its first launch of 2023 as early as tomorrow (18 January 2023) as sources are claiming that the tech giant will be announcing new MacBook Pro models. Moreover, the company is expected to hold Mac-related briefings with the media followed by an announcement on its Newsroom website.

Apple has been shifting production of its products away from China recently amidst frustrations over supply disruption and restrictive Covid-19 regulations in the country. According to a new report, the tech giant is now planning to shift manufacturing of its MacBook lineup to Thailand, making the country the main non-China production site for the product category.

Apple has agreed to settle a class-action lawsuit by its customers within seven states in the United States in regards to defective ‘butterfly’ keyboards on its MacBook laptops. Filed on late Monday night in the federal court in San Jose, California, the tech giant agreed to pay USD50 million or ~RM222.6 million to affected customers.
