Maxis recently announced that they have 60 Hotlink Malaysiamoji or animated Malaysia-themed GIF emojis such as ‘nasi lemak’, ‘OTW’, and ‘kaotim’. Introduced in the spirit of Merdeka and celebrating all that is unique about Malaysia these Hotlink Malaysiamoji will be available across all smartphones Facebook-wide starting from 31 August 2017, today.

Did you know? Maxis is having this community outreach programme called eKelas and they just did it last Sunday in Putrajaya. The eKelas Carnival on that day attracted more than 700 attendees, teaching them digital learning to every participant comprising of students and parents.

Maxis and Hotlink customers who have yet to upgrade their 3G SIM cards should hurry up and visit their nearest Maxis Centre or Hotlink dealer to upgrade to a 4G SIM card as the new 'RM1 million 3G SIM Swap' campaign may make them eligible for RM1 million in cash. The campaign starts on 25 April so make sure to get your dates right for a chance at RM1 million in cash.

We reported earlier that Maxis might have plans to introduce a smartphone of their own, and it might will be made available from 3 March onwards. Well, looks like they had made it official! Maxis had just launched the device, which is called the NeXT M1, and it’ll be priced at RM78/month as a ready to use plan which includes the device, calls minutes and data as a bundle.

In a surprising turn of events, it seems that Maxis is apparently planning to sell its self-branded 4G smartphone soon?

According to Lowyat.NET, a forum member accidentally discovered the device, simply called “Maxis NeXT” on the telco’s official website and shared a number of screenshots.

This weekend there is some good news from Maxis as you can now make calls to 5 Maxis/Hotlink Friendz with your Hotlink FAST for free. This is on top of the free 8GB of 4G Internet every weekend of the month along with free basic Internet. Activ10 numbers will be removed but existing customers can carry forward their current Mobile Internet passes.

Maxis has just announced that over a million MaxisONE plan customers are now eligible to get a new 4G device including the Huawei P9, Samsung Galaxy J7, Samsung Galaxy J5, OPPO F1, ASUS ZenFone Go and more for just RM1. The deal is open to new customers who sign up for the MaxisOne Plan 98 or higher and even existing customers with less than 3 months left for their contracts.

Just in time for Hari Raya season, Maxis is pushing their MaxisOne plans for those who are looking to get a new smartphone in time for the festive season. Many phones are  being offered free with new sign-up, with models such as the Honor 5X, Samsung Galaxy J3 and even the Huawei P9 up for grabs! 

In recent times, Maxis have been under heavy fire but today's official launch sees a new MaxisONE plan update geared towards regaining user trust and adding a bit more value to the networks offerings. While the initial upgrades remain the same SurfMore 50 and MaxisONE Business customers also got permanent upgrades to their data. Other benefits include unlimited calls and SMS to all networks. However, the star of the show today was the shared DataPool which lets you add-on a line and 5GB of Data for just RM48 a month.
