WhatsApp users are allowed to send view-once photos to others. Soon, they'll also be able to send view-once messages. WABetaInfo discovered that the feature is currently in beta testing and could make its way to the global audience in the coming weeks.

Apple is globally rolling out a feature that prevents children from viewing photos that contain nudity in its messaging app. The "communication safety in Messages" feature will blur said images and prompt notifications to guide the children about what to do next.

Google has officially announced on their support page stating that the Google Photos automatic backup & sync feature on messaging apps such as WhatsApp, Messages, and more have been disabled temporarily in order to reduce bandwidth usage. While there is no news on when we can expect Google to re-enable the feature, it will most likely be available again as soon as the COVID-19 outbreak slows down.

Based on a statement by AndroidHeadlines, it seems that WhatsApp by Facebook will most likely come with self-destructing messages which will delete themselves within an hour or up to a year. With that said, the aforementioned feature is expected to be available only on private chats while group chats will not have it.
