When Facebook Messenger was first introduced, it allowed users to sign up for an account by using their phone number. Surprisingly, Facebook has made changes to Messenger, which now requires new users to have a Facebook account in order to sign up for the service based on a statement by venturebeat.

Facebook has announced that they will be introducing several Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker-themed features, on Facebook Messenger from today onwards. The new features allow you to express yourself via limited edition chat theme, reactions, stickers and more.

If you were wondering why Facebook, WhatsApp, Instagram and Facebook Messenger couldn’t load, here’s why. According to DownDetector, the services were down at around 8PM last night and it seems like the outage was global. 

Are you a fan of Facebook Messenger? It looks like you would soon be able to react to individual messages on the popular app. The feature, which is already available on Facebook’s News Feed, is currently being tested by random users. There’s a total of 5 reaction emoji(s) and another 2 others, which are thumbs up and thumbs down, which meant you could now dislike or disagree to a message. The 5 reaction emoji includes expression of love, funny, shocked, sad, and frown.
