Do you dislike seeing political content when you surf Instagram and Threads? Well, I assume most of us do and here's some good news - Meta has finally enabled options to recommend less political content on your feed, especially from accounts that you don't follow at all. 

A few hours ago, Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg announced on his Facebook page that WhatsApp Channels had surpassed 500 million monthly users. For the uninitiated, Channels is a section in the app that helps people get the updates they want from their favourite teams, organizations and people, directly on WhatsApp.

If you still use Threads, you would have heard the news about Meta launching a web version. Well, looks like it's happening and according to Meta spokesperson Christine Pai and Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg, it's now rolling out for the next few days.

Today, Meta launched the Meta Creator Academy in Malaysia which was endorsed by the Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC). With the endorsement, the academy will provide free training and support for aspiring and emerging creators in Malaysia, mainly using Facebook and Instagram creator tools and products.

Today, Meta announced that Instagram will have a new Sensitive Content Control function. As most of you should know, there are some "not-safe-for-work" images floating around on Instagram. With this, Sensitive Content Control has only two options for teens: “Standard” and “Less.”

Personally, I'm not a big fan of this because I just want to see what my friends and family are up to. Even the Kardashians hate the new Instagram but luckily, it seems that Instagram CEO Adam Mosseri is going to make a U-turn.

Nowadays, if you feel like you have been seeing more pages and content on Facebook and Instagram that you have never seen, you're not alone. In fact, the Meta company is actually pushing towards more recommended accounts on purpose. Why is that? 

Sometimes once in a while, you would get tagged by Facebook from another person's photo because the system recognises your face. Whether you find it helpful or annoying, it seems that Meta will be shutting down the Face Recognition system on Facebook. The reason being is because the company is looking to limit the technology in their products.
