Popular messaging platform WhatsApp is currently in the midst of introducing animated emojis to spice up your user experience. Spotted on WhatsApp Desktop beta, users can expect the feature to be ported to the full version of the app in the near future.

During the mid of March, Meta announced that it will be shifting away from NFTs on both Facebook and Instagram. At the time, we didn't know when it would be removed but we have an official date. As shared by Ahmeh Ghanem, NFTs on Instagram will be deactivated on 11 April 2023.

Meta-owned social media platform Instagram has announced that it’s rolling out two new ad placements on the app. These include ads in search results and a new ‘reminder ads’ notification from brands.

WhatsApp is currently testing a new feature for group chats that would allow users to set an expiration date for the group. Aptly named ‘Expiring Groups’, the feature was introduced on the WhatsApp beta for iOS 23.5.0.70 update, meaning that it may end up in the full version of the app soon.

Meta-owned messaging platform WhatsApp was recently spotted testing a new ‘Newsletter’ feature in the latest beta version of its Android app. As the name suggests, the feature allows users to subscribe to newsletters from their favourite channel’s broadcasts.

Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg has revealed that the company is in the midst of testing AI-powered tools for its products. These would include AI-powered chats on its messaging platforms, WhatsApp and Messenger.
