With mobile web browsers, the search engine is almost always Google. This is because Google pays smartphone manufacturers big bucks for that advantage. In 2021, Google even paid Apple USD26 billion (~RM116.26 billion) to become the default Safari browser search engine. But clearly, it's not just because of the money.

Recently, Microsoft integrated ChatGPT into Bing which allows users to use the AI chatbot in various Microsoft products. Well, it’s now available on Android too as the company recently integrated the Bing AI chatbot into SwiftKey.

ChatGPT and other AI-related products have been all the craze lately, with Microsoft gaining the most traction with its AI-powered Bing chatbot. Naturally, the company is looking to monetise this and has announced that it will place “ads in the chat experience”.

If you’ve been playing around with Microsoft’s AI powered Bing search engine, it looks like you can now generate AI art too with their Bing Image Creator. Utilizing a version of DALL-E, you can type in what you want and see if it will make anything coherent. Previously when we tried to do so, all we got was alphanumeric text images but this new version is rather promising.

Microsoft recently announced that their new AI-powered Bing search engine and Edge browser are now available… but if you were hoping to ask Bing to write your homework tonight, all you can do for now is register on the waitlist as it is only available to a select few.
