Microsoft doesn't really like the idea of Windows users merely using its Edge browser as a tool to install Google Chrome, and it shows with this new prompt message. According to a report, Microsoft Edge will now show various messages to users by hinting that it's a better browser compared to Google Chrome.

The last time we wrote about Microsoft Edge, it was about how Microsoft finally decided to revamp the web browser using the open-source Chromium project. Well, that move has paid off for Microsoft in recent months. In March 2020, Microsoft Edge became the second most popular desktop browser globally.

It's been a while since we've heard anything about Microsoft Edge but it looks like the browser is ready for a revival. Microsoft has been spending most of last year overhauling Edge to the open-source Chromium and has finally made the new version available for download.

While the Google browser Chrome is popular all over the world, it is resource hungry.
