Knowing honor's reputation as a smartphone brand that offers affordable mid-range to budget-friendly devices with respectable tech-specs, I honestly had no idea what I was going in for when I was given the honor 7X to review. What is the purpose of the honor 7X, I wondered, just jumping on the FullView display bandwagon? Or is there something more than that? Mark down your calendar, OPPO Malaysia has confirmed the arrival of the OPPO F5 6GB Red Edition on 6 December 2017, so as the pre-order date that will start on the same day at 12.30PM. What's more, the first 1000 customers who pre-order the device from its online website here will also receive a mystery gift! 

OPPO Malaysia has back again with new smartphones with the OPPO F5. The OPPO F5 comes in 4GB RAM with 32GB ROM. They also made a brief announcement for OPPO F5 6GB ram with 64GB ROM and OPPO F5 Youth but not much details were released from the officials. Check out the full tech-specs and details below.

OPPO recently announced that their upcoming selfie-centric OPPO F5 will be able to unlock with facial recognition technology they call "Facial Unlock". While the fingerprint sensor has been moved to the back, OPPO says you can easily unlock their F5 with the facial unlock feature within 0.4 seconds. This is on top of the rumoured f/1.6 20MP selfie camera and a host of new ambassadors as well. Rumours also say, there will be 3 variants including the OPPO F5, F5 Youth and F5 6GB RAM version.

So this just came in, in a short announcement, OPPO has revealed that Dilireba Dilmurat (????) is the new ambassador for the upcoming OPPO F5 selfie smartphone. Besides that, instead of the initial two Selfie Icons that was teased, it was also revealed that OPPO Malaysia also recruited five more celebrities which are Yoga Lin (???), Eric Chou (???), Fattah Amin, Neelofa, Ayda Jebat and Min Chen.

As confirmed by OPPO Malaysia on its Facebook page, the OPPO F5 will be coming to Malaysia soon. However, we also happen to get a tip (thanks, random guy on the Internet) that in the Philippines (the device's first debut on 26 October 2017), another smartphone will accompany the F5 and it'll be called the F5 Youth.
