Today, Sony announced the launch of PlayStation Portal for the Malaysian market, where it will be sold at a price of RM999 for the local market. The PlayStation Portal will be officially launched on October 9, 2024, but those interested can pre-order from August 5, 2024.

Just last week, Sony Interactive Entertainment unveiled the PlayStation Portal remote play and it would be released at the price of 199.99 USD | 219.99 EURO | 199.99 GBP | 29,980 YEN. That's around ~RM928 if converted directly to our local currency, but we don't think we will be seeing it soon in the Malaysian market. 

Besides the PlayStation Portal, Sony Interactive Entertainment also unveiled a new Pulse Elite wireless headset and a pair of Pulse Explore wireless earbuds. They look pretty fancy and according to Sony, these latest audio products will bring the next level of audio performance using its new PlayStation Link wireless technology.

Since the end of May, Sony Interactive Entertainment confirmed that a handheld gaming console was in the works. Previously known as Project Q, it now has a new name called PlayStation Portal remote play. Here's what you should know about it.
