Coming soon on 21 October 2025, Samsung is set to usher in what the company calls “a new era of multimodal AI.” The announcement arrived with the promise of a landmark shift in how Samsung’s technology interacts with the world – an evolution toward devices built around artificial intelligence from the ground up.

Most folks might not remember, but Samsung used to make VR (virtual reality) headsets back in the 2010s. In December 2024, we finally heard news of a new Samsung XR (eXtended Reality) headset. However, it's only now that we have a likely release window for the product.

Samsung this week at the MWC 2025 event will be showing off their mixed-reality headset, codenamed “Project Moohan”. In line with this, Samsung said they would launch their mixed-reality headset commercially this year. So, what should you know about it?
