At the IFA 2020, HUAWEI was supposed to announce the world's first commercial 5nm mobile processor at their keynote that happened on 3 September. However, it looks like the plan has changed as the 5nm process (a.k.a Kirin 1000) was nowhere to be found. It is reported that HUAWEI is trying to stay low profile to avoid drawing unnecessary attention.

It feels that Qualcomm has been launching several sub-variants for its Snapdragon chipsets this year. While the flagship Snapdragon 865+ is expected, Qualcomm also announced a variant of the Snapdragon 730 chipset yesterday - the Snapdragon 732G chipset.

It seems that the OPPO smartphone with the codename CPH2127 has been spotted on FCC, detailing the tech specs as well as what to expect when the smartphone is officially unveiled in the near future. While not much is known in regards to the exact name of the aforementioned smartphone, our sources did mention that it will come equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon 662 chipset as well as 4GB RAM.

In a recent study, it was reported that over 400 vulnerabilities were found in the software of Qualcomm chips. Specifically, these were detected in Qualcomm's Digital Signal Processors (DSP) chips.

Based on a statement by Digital Chat Station on Twitter, it seems that Qualcomm could be releasing several “Lite” variants of the Qualcomm Snapdragon 875 chipset which will be priced much cheaper. With that said, we can expect smartphones equipped with the aforementioned Lite chipset to be much cheaper compared to the full-specced Snapdragon 875 chip.

It seems that XDA-Developers recently discovered that there’s a mid-range OnePlus smartphone currently in the works and it’s expected to come equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 690 5G chipset.
