Today marks the launch of Xiaomi’s Redmi Note 8, as well as the Redmi Note 8 Pro, starting from the price of RM599 and RM1099 respectively. As for the availability date, the devices mentioned will be available for purchase starting from 12 October 2019 onwards at all Xiaomi Authorized concept stores and e-commerce platforms.

Previously, we mentioned that the Redmi Note 8 will be using a new MediaTek Helio G90T chipset according to a Russian EEC, but that has been changed slightly now according to sources, it will use a Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 chipset and the Helio G90T is going to the Pro variant.

Based on images posted by Redmi on their Weibo account, it seems that the Redmi Note 8 as well as the Redmi Note 8 Pro will be officially unveiled on 29 August 2019. The poster also mentions that the devices will come with up to 25 times zoom, allowing the user to take highly detailed pictures from afar.

It feels like only yesterday the Redmi Note 7 series were unveiled. Now we’re expecting the highly anticipated Redmi Note 8 series. From leaked images, we can expect the device to feature quad cameras which may come equipped with a 64MP sensor.

It's been a few months since the Redmi Note 7 was released in Malaysia, but of course, Xiaomi is already working on the next sequel which will be called the Redmi Note 8 and recently, it has gotten certification from the Russian EEC and sources say that it will be equipped with the latest MediaTek Helio G90T chipset.
