As we continue to surf through 2020, the tech industry continues to thrive and do what they can. In Qualcomm's case, it seems that they have officially sent invites about their upcoming Tech Summit Digital 2020 that will be held on 1-2 December 2020. In the description, the company said they are going to announce the latest and greatest Snapdragon news.

One of the most exciting things about the next-gen flagship smartphones is the 5nm process. With Apple leading the scene by launching the A14 Bionic on Wednesday, other chip manufacturers will soon announce their works too in the near future. Now, it is reported that Qualcomm's Snapdragon 875 and Samsung's Exynos 1000 will adopt the same architecture design.

Based on a report by myfixguide.com, it seems that Qualcomm has contracted Samsung to manufacture the Snapdragon 875G chipset, which could be released somewhere around the end of this year. While not much is known in regards to which smartphone will come with the aforementioned chip, we do know that the contract is worth around ~RM3.5 billion.

Based on a statement by techradar.com, it seems that Qualcomm has contracted Samsung to manufacture their Snapdragon 4 series chipset which is geared towards entry-level smartphones. While there is no news on which smartphones will come equipped with the aforementioned chipset, our source mentioned that the chip will be used by manufacturers such as Motorola, OPPO, Xiaomi, and more.

It seems that the OPPO smartphone with the codename CPH2127 has been spotted on FCC, detailing the tech specs as well as what to expect when the smartphone is officially unveiled in the near future. While not much is known in regards to the exact name of the aforementioned smartphone, our sources did mention that it will come equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon 662 chipset as well as 4GB RAM.

Based on a statement by Digital Chat Station on Twitter, it seems that Qualcomm could be releasing several “Lite” variants of the Qualcomm Snapdragon 875 chipset which will be priced much cheaper. With that said, we can expect smartphones equipped with the aforementioned Lite chipset to be much cheaper compared to the full-specced Snapdragon 875 chip.

The rise of mobile gaming means that GPU performance in a smartphone is something people pay more attention to these days. Despite that, there hasn't been an app that outright allows the user to control a mobile GPU so far. That's about to change, thanks to a Xiaomi and Qualcomm.

It seems that XDA-Developers recently discovered that there’s a mid-range OnePlus smartphone currently in the works and it’s expected to come equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 690 5G chipset. While not much is known in regards to the new mid-range smartphone, our source did mention that the device will most likely perform up to 60% faster compared to Qualcomm Snapdragon 675 chipset.

Based on a statement by sammobile.com, it seems that Samsung will be manufacturing Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 875G and Snapdragon 735G chipsets using their 5nm EUV manufacturing process. With that said, our source mentioned that the transistors on the 5nm process are about 25% smaller compared to 7nm which allows manufacturers to pack more transistors on the chip.

The flagships from Samsung with Exynos chipset series have always caught in comparison with the variants that come with Qualcomm's Snapdragon chipset series. Sadly, the ones with Exynos chipsets were always defeated in the battles due to weaker performance. By being determined to win for once, the Korean tech giant has raised the efforts into research and development for a new K-Chip series.
