Based on a report by myfixguide.com, it seems that Qualcomm has contracted Samsung to manufacture the Snapdragon 875G chipset, which could be released somewhere around the end of this year. While not much is known in regards to which smartphone will come with the aforementioned chip, we do know that the contract is worth around ~RM3.5 billion.

While there is no news on which smartphones will come equipped with the aforementioned chipset, our source mentioned that the chip will be used by manufacturers such as Motorola, OPPO, Xiaomi, and more.

With that said, we can expect smartphones equipped with the aforementioned Lite chipset to be much cheaper compared to the full-specced Snapdragon 875 chip.

With that said, our source mentioned that the transistors on the 5nm process are about 25% smaller compared to 7nm which allows manufacturers to pack more transistors on the chip.
