The Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) has announced that all social media services and internet messaging services with at least 8 million registered users in Malaysia must apply for a Class Licence beginning 1 Aug. In a statement, the commission said that this is part of a new regulatory framework that would be introduced.
