    Back in June, sources claimed that the Samsung Exynos 2200 outperformed the Apple A14 Bionic in GPU performance. The source provided no evidence to prove it, but now there's another benchmark to compare the two chipsets. But this time around, we have more details on the chipset.

    Samsung announces Evolved Exynos 5 Octa - 2x 3D and 20% more Power

    Samsung previously reported about their upcoming Evolved Exynos 5 Octa chipset and now are releasing all the details. Codenamed as the Exynos 5420 the chip uses a new six-core ARM Mali T628 MP6 core that (according to Samsung)  provides 2x graphics boost compared to the previous Exynos 5 Octa chipset. The main processor runs a Quad-core of 1.8GHz ARM Cortex A15 processors linked up with 4 1.3GHz ARM Cortex A7 processors in a big.LITTLE configuration. This delivers 20% more processing power than the previous chipset.

    Samsung reveals Evolved Exynos 5 Octa, maybe coming for Galaxy Note III

    Samsung has recently announced an improved version of their Exynos 5 Octa chipset. While the Samsung Galaxy S4 I9500 already has the earlier version of the Exynos 5 Octa chipset it's performance has been overshadowed by the Snapdragon 800 from Qualcomm. Rumours indicate that the enhanced version of the Exynos 5 Octa chipset may be called Exynos Evolved  with the teaser from Samsung indicating that it will be "a more powerful, enhanced Exynos 5 Octa".
