As we enter a brand new month, Samsung Malaysia Electronics has recently updated their mySamsung app to further help their customers to manage their devices, providing easy and direct access to customer service representatives, as well as enjoy Samsung ownership privileges.

In our previous article regarding the new Samsung Galaxy A series (2016), we mentioned that a shop somewhere in Netherlands have already listed the price tag for the Samsung Galaxy A3 (2016) and Samsung Galaxy A5 (2016) unofficially; now another Dutch retailer, SmartPhoneShop.nl, has set up a pre-order for both devices on its online store and 8 January is the expected date listed in there.

Words got out from TENAA that both Lenovo K32C36 (Lenovo P1 Mini codename) and SM-A5100 (Samsung Galaxy A5’s successor) have passed and got certified. While we didn’t really get the full tech specs, but at least the important ones are listed in this article.

Some time ago, in a “galaxy” that is not too far from the Internet, someone managed to screenshot some tidbits of the upcoming Samsung Galaxy A5 sequel. Reading the coding in the image above, it seems that it retains most of the same number of pixels from its previous incarnation, mostly because of the 720p resolution listed there.

So according to the supposed Android Marshmallow update for next year,  the next versions for the Samsung Galaxy A5 and Samsung Galaxy A7 are expected to be released next year. We just got some leaked pictures from China (again) and some unofficial tech specs too:-

So apparently, there's a leaked image of showing various Samsung Galaxy models to be updated with Android Marshmallow. Similarly to Marvel Studio Cinematic Phase plans, the image are showing 2 phase plans of which model will be updated first. There's also a third phase, but as of now there are no plans yet and it will only commence after initial testing (same goes to the n/a status below).

A tweet posted by @Ricciolo1 was spotted online claiming a Samsung Unpacked 2016 event next year on 21 February in Barcelona hinting a Samsung Galaxy S7 reveal, while a different Tweeter source released some pictures of the successors to the Samsung Galaxy A3 and Samsung Galaxy A5 online.

No surprises yesterday as Samsung launched their latest and greatest addition to the Galaxy A range of smartphones, the Samsung Galaxy A8 for RM1888. Featuring a mix of midrange and flagship tech specs and functions such as a fingerprint sensor, 16MP ISOCELL rear camera, 5MP wide f/1.9 aperture front camera (yep, the one from the Galaxy S6 series) and a midrange 2GB of RAM. Our first impressions of Samsung's thinnest smartphone (5.9mm at it's thinnest point) is that it certainly feels premium and not as large as the 5.7-inch display might suggest. According to Samsung, this is because of even thinner bezels than before while keeping the size compact. In any case, the Samsung Galaxy A8 is available in black, gold and white at all authorized stores. As part of the launch festivities, Samsung had Juliana Evans as their brand ambassador on hand to give away autographs.

Samsung Malaysia Electronics have sent out their invitations for the launch of the Samsung Galaxy A8 and it appears that it will arrive in Malaysia on 30 July 2015. Previous reports have the Galaxy A8 as the thinnest Samsung smartphone to date at 5.9mm thin at it's thinnest point. It will have a full metal frame like it's other Samsung Galaxy A siblings but also come with flagship features like a 16MP ISOCELL rear camera, 5MP wide f/1.9 aperture front camera, fingerprint sensor and 5.7-inch full HD Super AMOLED display. No official pricing details have been revealed yet, but early rumours indicate that it could go for RM1888.
