We have been talking about the BlackPink edition for quite some time now, and in August this month, Samsung Malaysia Electronics will officially be bringing in the Samsung Galaxy A80 | Watch Active | Buds BlackPink Edition for all the BlackPink fans in Malaysia for RM3899.

In just an hour ago (and counting), Samsung Malaysia has just confirmed the alleged pre-order price of the Samsung Galaxy A80 that was unveiled in Thailand a few months ago. According to its Facebook and Twitter page, the device will cost RM2499 and will be launched on 12 July 2019 officially.

Samsung has had 3D ToF sensors on their devices before - specifically on the Samsung Galaxy A80 and the Samsung Galaxy S10 5G. Now, we may be seeing the much anticipated Samsung Galaxy Note 10 follow suit with a 3D ToF sensor on the front and back of the device.The 3D ToF sensor is used to render bokeh effects on portrait shots, AR applications and games as well as face recognition on devices. 

It seems that a few local distributors have started taking pre-orders for the Samsung Galaxy A80, starting from the price of RM2499. DirectD has stated on their Facebook post, that the pre-ordered devices should arrive on 13 July 2019. Factory Mobile, on the other hand, did not mention any arrival date.

The much anticipated Samsung Galaxy A80 with its interesting pop up and swivel camera is finally making its way to the market in selected regions including Malaysia. The device is one of Samsung’s most interesting innovations - a triple rear camera setup which slides up and swivels that turns into the selfie camera as well. It is reported that the Malaysian price for the smartphone is RM2500.
