Samsung Galaxy Golden officially launched, another dual-screen flip-phone

The other rumoured Samsung flip-phone, the Samsung Galaxy Golden has recently been officially released in South Korea. Featuring dual 3.7-inch Super AMOLED screens with a physical keypad the Samsung Galaxy Golden will be sold for KRW790000 (RM2332) which is quite high considering the other tech specs. These tech specs include a 1.7GHz dual-core processor, FM Radio, 8MP camera, a pedometer and various S features. No news when it would be available here in Malaysia or for how much but we're guessing that this could be a Korea only release. However, if you're pining for the flip-phone form factor there's always the Samsung Hennessey.

Rumours: Samsung Galaxy Folder may come as Galaxy Golden

In a move which looks to revive the clamshell mobile phone form factor, Samsung are reportedly making a dual-screen clamshell flip phone which they may call the Samsung Galaxy Golden (perhaps in reference to the Golden age of clamshell-type mobile phones?). While it initially appeared as the Samsung Galaxy Folder and looked to be a dead prototype, it seems that the Samsung Galaxy Golden may actually arrive soon, perhaps for the South Korean market first. Tech specs for the Golden now include:

    • 1.7GHz dual-core Snapdragon 400 processor
    • 2x 3.7-inch AMOLED display (800 x 480 resolution)
    • 2GB RAM
    • 1820 mAh battery
    • Android 4.2.2
