Rumours: Samsung Galaxy Note 4 tech specs appears on AnTuTu

While it usually offers benchmark scores, the AnTuTu site is also rather infamous for revealing the tech specs and features of upcoming smartphones and mobile devices. It appears that the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 could be one of the latest devices to appear on the AnTuTu site. This listing reveals the Galaxy Note 4 tech specs to include a Samsung Exynos 5433 processor with ARM Mali T760 graphics. Other tech specs include 3GB RAM, 16GB of storage and a 16MP rear camera along with Android 4.4.4. Unconfirmed but anticipated tech specs for the Galaxy Note includes a 5.7-inch Super AMOLED display. The AnTuTu listing has since revealed that it will pack a resolution of 1440 x 2560 and we expect the camera to be the same 16MP ISOCELL camera sensor currently available on the Samsung Galaxy S5. Many are hoping that the Note 4 will be enough to revitalize Samsung's decline, but rather than head for the premium flagship area we think the battle they need to win will be in the midrange and entry level, something which Samsung is currently lacking. No Malaysia release dates or pricing is available yet, but stay tuned for the Samsung UNPACKED event on 3 September 2014 for more information.

  • Goophone N4 (clone) strikes earlier than Samsung Galaxy Note 4

Goophone N4 (clone) strikes earlier than Samsung Galaxy Note 4

Goophone has already come out early with a clone of the still unreleased Apple iPhone 6, so it should not come as a surprise that they have also come out with the Goophone N4, a clone of the upcoming and still unreleased Samsung Galaxy Note 4 smartphone. While the actual Samsung Galaxy Note 4 has yet to be confirmed, the Goophone N4 certainly looks like how it would come out as, right down to the super slim bezels and large 5.7-inch display. Tech specs and features for the Goophone N4 include a 1.7GHz octa-core MediaTek MT6592 processor, 3GB of RAM, 13MP rear camera, 5MP front camera, 5.7-inch display with full 1080p HD display and 3200 mAh battery. While these aren't bad tech specs at all, the graphics for this processor are usually slower than normal. While we don't think you can fool anyone with the Goophone brand so clearly displayed, it could still get sold as a possible Galaxy Note 4 smartphone by some third-party sellers, so be careful about any offers before the Galaxy UNPACKED event expected on 3 September 2014.

  • Rumours: Samsung testing wrap-around YOUM display smartphone?

Rumours: Samsung testing wrap-around YOUM display smartphone?

For quite some time now, Samsung has been rumoured to be making a smartphone with a wrap-around display. This comes from it's flexible YOUM display and patents of such a wrap-around device which technically would make it an edge-to-edge smartphone with no bezels. According to reports from Korea, Samsung has begun testing such a device thanks to news from component suppliers. The Samsung Galaxy Note 4 has been rumoured to be this smartphone, however, do take such a rumour with a good pinch of salt as it seems like too much of a big change for the phablet. Instead it would be more likely to be the Samsung Galaxy Round 2 based off of the previous curved screen device, the Samsung Galaxy Round. The timing does coincide with previously leaked roadmaps for flexible displays though so we're still hopeful somewhat. In the meantime, check out the previous wrap-around patent images on how the next flexible display smartphone from Samsung could look like.

  • Rumours: more metal body Samsung Galaxy Alpha pics leaked

Rumours: more metal body Samsung Galaxy Alpha pics leaked

More pictures of the metal body Samsung Galaxy Alpha have appeared and this time they are quite clear. The pictures reveal a fairly standard design with a matte white backside. No sign of any brushed metal back cover as shown in previous press renders but the sides reveal a flat and thin design very similar to an Apple iPhone 5s. Tech specs and features have yet to be confirmed but rumours indicate that they will be midrange. Further tech spec details include an octa-core Samsung Exynos 5433 processor, 2GB RAM, 32GB storage, 4.8-inch display with 720p pixel resolution, 12MP rear camera, 2MP front camera and Android 4.4.4. No Malaysia release dates or pricing details just yet, but it could likely be unveiled at the upcoming Samsung UNPACKED 2014 event alongside the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 on 3 September 2014. Check out the pictures for yourself below.

Samsung Galaxy Note 4 coming on 3 September 2014 at UNPACKED 2014

Confirming earlier rumours, Samsung has just sent out invites for an UNPACKED 2014 event right before IFA 2014 where they will unveil the new Samsung Galaxy Note 4 phablet. Tech specs still have not been confirmed for the Galaxy Note 4 but many are thinking it may offer a Snapdragon 805 processor, 3GB RAM, 5.7-inch display with 1440 x 2560 pixel resolution, 16MP camera with OIS, an ultraviolet sensor and Andoid 4.4 KitKat. We're still hoping that the RAM could get an increase to 4GB but this seems unlikely now. Other devices are also expected including the metal-body Samsung Galaxy Alpha and more (including some new wearable devices). No news on Malaysia release dates or pricing yet but we should find out in another month so stay tuned for more developments.

  • Rumours: Samsung Galaxy Note 4 tech specs leaked?

Rumours: Samsung Galaxy Note 4 tech specs leaked?

Rumours about the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Note 4 phablet have been few and far in between, until now as new rumours have leaked showing off some rather high-end tech specs. Coming courtesy of SamMobile, who have been quite accurate where Samsung stuff are related, the rumours say that the Galaxy Note 4 will come in two versions, one running a Qualcomm snapdragon 805 processor while the other will use a Samsung Exynos 5433 processor. Other notable tech specs include an AMOLED display with 2560 x 1440 pixel resolution. No news on what size the display could be but we're guessing around 5.5-inches or so. The Galaxy Note 4 may also have a 16MP rear camera with optical image stabilization and a 2MP front camera. It could also have a UV sensor for better auto-brightness adjustments. No news on Malaysia release dates or pricing but stay tuned and we'll keep you updated.

  • Rumours: Samsung Galaxy Note 4 could get 3-sided YOUM display?

Rumours: Samsung Galaxy Note 4 could get 3-sided YOUM display?

A metal chassis and one of Samsung's flexible OLED YOUM displays are two of the most avidly rumoured about features every time an upcoming Samsung smartphone is set to appear. They came out for the Samsung Galaxy S5 and the Samsung Galaxy Note 3, so we're not surprised that rumours have appeared saying that the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 could get a 3-sided YOUM display. Apparently the rumour comes from a report about a comment made by an unnamed Samsung representative, which sounds fishy enough already. We'd love to be wrong about this but we think that the Galaxy Note 4 isn't going to change it's design language so drastically just to incorporate flexible displays. If anything, the Samsung YOUM displays are more likely to appear as a completely new product. Still, do take this rumour with a heavy pinch of salt and disbelief, at least you'll feel more surprised if it actually does come true.

  • Rumours: Samsung Galaxy Note 4 to look like Galaxy S5?

Rumours: Samsung Galaxy Note 4 to look like Galaxy S5?

As the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 looms on the horizon, rumours are popping up about how it might look like and what features it may have. Some of these rumours are indicating that like the artificial leather backside of the Samsung Galaxy Note 3, the look and feel of the Samsung Galaxy S5 could influence how the Galaxy Note 4 would look like. This could well mean an IP67 certified water proof and dust proof Galaxy Note 4 which is both more rugged as well as durable. Other tech specs point towards a 2K display with 2560 x 1440 pixel resolution along with a Snapdragon 801 processor and a 20.1MP camera sensor. We're thinking why not just go the distance and outfit the Galaxy Note 4 with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 but it could well be that we'll see a dotted backside on the Galaxy Note 4 in the next coming months. No details on Malaysia release dates or pricing but we expect the Galaxy Note 4 to come soon.

  • Samsung Galaxy Note 4 could be getting a three-sided display

Samsung Galaxy Note 4 could be getting a three-sided display

Another day, another teaser from Samsung executive VP of Mobile, Lee Young Hee. This time around he has been quoted as saying that the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 could be coming by Q3 or Q4 of 2014 and that it will be a high-end device, aimed at professionals. This also means it would probably have a rather high price tag, but it mainly raises rumours that the Note 4 could finally be the smartphone to use a three-sided display. The three-sided display or wraparound display prototype has already been shown both at the Samsung Youm flexible display demo and in patent filings. While this may seem faddish, it would add on a whole new level of control for the interface. However, while other sites are saying this would mean that the device would be unbreakable this wouldn't be the case if it still used common glass to protect it. Either the new Note 4 or three sided display device has use a clear plastic substrate cover or perhaps employ a curved glass covering from Corning, which Corning have already come up with recently. No news on exact Malaysia release dates or pricing but we'll find out for sure in a couple of months.
