News & Reviews:   Samsung Galaxy S10 Malaysia release date

As we get ready for the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S10 series release at the Unpacked event on 20 February 2019, serial leakster @evleaks strikes again with some renders of what could be the Samsung Galaxy S10E, Samsung Galaxy S10 and Samsung Galaxy S10+. Quite clearly, it seems like something from a case maker, but it also reveals the camera bar design on the back with the glaring absence of any rear fingerprint readers, even for the dual rear camera packing Galaxy S10E. Could this mean, they'll all have in-display fingerprint sensors or will they just rely on face unlocks?

Recently an image of the alleged Samsung Galaxy S10 has been spotted on the internet originating from an SRT train in South Korea. While the picture may look pixelated, you can clearly spot the infinity-O hole at the top right, and it looks like the model that the user is holding is the high-end Samsung Galaxy S10 Plus.

Nowadays, a screen protector is a necessity especially for those who have butterfingers like me, frequently dropping their phones and potentially shattering their display. Unfortunately, a statement made by a case manufacturer called Armadillotek for the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S10 series has noted that the ultrasonic under-display fingerprint sensor will not work with a screen protector.

The Samsung Galaxy S10 5G smartphone has been reported to be called Samsung Galaxy S10 X. According to ETNews, a Korean publication, the X stands for not only 10 but also ‘experience’ as well as ‘expand’. It is speculated that the device will be unveiled alongside the rest of the S10 series on February 20.

As most Samsung fans already know, the upcoming Galaxy S10 flagship series will be making its debut in San Francisco, California on 20 February 2019 and the Korean tech giant has already started to advertise it in the West, most notably in Paris.

Ice Universe has recently tweeted out stating the the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S10 Plus is expected to be thinner at only 7.8mm thickness, as compared to the currently available Galaxy S9 which is thickest at 8.5mm. With such a thin device, it’s still surprising to see it come equipped with a rather large battery capacity of up to 4000mAh.

We initially thought that the Samsung Galaxy S10 would be announced at MWC 2019 in March this year. However, that clearly isn’t true as the smartphone has been announced to launch on the 20th of February in San Francisco, California through a teaser.

Ice Universe has recently leaked images of casings for what could be the Samsung Galaxy S10 series on Twitter. Based on the images, the expected battery capacities of the Samsung Galaxy S10 Lite will be at 3100mAh while the Galaxy S10 and Galaxy S10 Plus at 3500mAh and 4100mAh. Based on a previous leak that we have covered, the phone sizes seem to stay consistent at 5.8-inch for the Samsung Galaxy S10 Lite, 6.1-inch for the S10 and 6.4-inch for the S10 Plus.

Samsung may be introducing a brand new innovation that is pretty nifty, might I add, over at CES 2019. Ditching the speaker grills, the Korean giant may just introduce their Sound on Display OLED panels which may be used on not only their smartphones but also their TVs.

Based on a report by sammobile.com, the Samsung Galaxy S10 series is expected to come equipped “Powershare”, which has the same reverse wireless charging capabilities similar to that of the Huawei Mate 20 Pro. However, it is not known whether the speed is going to be similar to or better than the existing implementation.
